The director of the documentary Alexia Tsouni thanked the festival and the audience for the award, and dedicated it to the Palestinian people, who, in the midst of war and genocide, keep resisting. She stressed that today it’s the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, which in ancient times meant a truce; however, not only there is no truce, but the massacre continues. She noted that the Greek people are always in solidarity with the Palestinian people, who must win their freedom. The occupation and genocide should end now.

Η σκηνοθέτρια του ντοκιμαντέρ Αλεξία Τσούνη ευχαρίστησε το φεστιβάλ και το κοινό για το βραβείο, και το αφιέρωσε στον Παλαιστινιακό λαό, ο οποίος, εν μέσω πολέμου και γενοκτονίας, συνεχίζει να αντιστέκεται. Τόνισε ότι σήμερα, είναι η τελετή έναρξης των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων, που στα αρχαία χρόνια σήμαινε εκεχειρία, όμως όχι μόνο δεν έχουμε εκεχειρία, αλλά συνεχίζεται η σφαγή. Σημείωσε ότι ο Ελληνικός λαός είναι πάντα αλληλέγγυος στον Παλαιστινιακό λαό, που πρέπει να κερδίσει την λευτεριά του. H κατοχή κι η γενοκτονία πρέπει να σταματήσουν τώρα.
